I’m Back in Brooklyn

Lia’s Watermelon Ice, originally uploaded by suddenly.

I’ve left Toronto and returned to Brooklyn, home to Woody Allen, Spike Lee, and that hottie from Prison Break. It’s been seven years since I’ve lived in NYC and I’m so excited to rediscover all the things I’ve missed about my hometown because no place else in the world do you have the same:

1. Pizza
2. Bagels
3. Jews
4. Stoops
5. Italian ices
6. Water (so tasty and softens my hair and skin)
7. Cat calls
8. Crazies
9. Dynamic neighborhoods
10. Sassy residents

So, yeah, I’m back. For good. And for the better.

  1. hey susan,

i was just watching ‘the people’s supermarket’ series with arthur pots and learned that there’s a food co op in brooklyn. after watching this series i’m thinking there should be more of these types of co operatives. does korea also have food co ops? what was your experience like shopping food in korea compared to shopping for food in supermarkets in america?

  2. Hi Suddenly Susan,

Just got to tell you that Tendekai the walking safari guide at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge was killed by an elephant yesterday 08/06/2011 whilst on a walking safari with a client at the water hole.

This is a second death by elephant attack in town in week.

Hope this will not discourage your future visit to Africa when next you want to go on a world tour.
